Vacation Rental Owners it may be time to update?

The FORD PINTO and the AMC PACER - If possible - Do you really think that someone would step back, and truly say “Now that’s GOOD!  That looks SO Good - Let’s bring it back! Let’s copy and paste it!”  NO.  It may have been good for the times but not now.  Unless, it is cherry condition and well that’s another post and sorry Pinto and Pacer lovers!

Many vacation rental homeowners or managers have several listings in cyberspace with expectations that visitors will find the listing, read it, consider it and finally contact you for a reservation.  You can actually discover a bit about the owner or managers of vacation rental properties by the descriptions and images.  Did they put much time or effort into the listing?

Descriptions and images keep travelers interested and are 99% of the battle to gain new bookings once someone finds your vacation rental ad.  We continue to beat the drum, great images make great impressions.  If your images are poor then visitors just move on….there are too many choices to try to get by with fuzzy photos. (By the way we will be introducing some great image enhancements to Furnishedhomes.com soon!) The same is true for descriptions.  This does not mean you need to write a novel, but you REALLY need to write descriptions with good grammar and somewhat captivating or intriguing text.  Give visitors a reason to be attracted to your vacation rentals.

For example, what draws attention and portrays to visitors that you genuinely care about their visits? Let’s say you have 750 characters to describe your vacation rental and location.

Orlando, Florida condo 2 br 2 ba. TV, DVD, CBL, Ph. Queen bed, 2 twins, sofa sleeper.

If your original descriptions are really good then go ahead and copy & paste!  Everyone is for time saving!  Review your vacation rental internet ads to be sure they are up to date, convey accurate info and compel visitors to contact you.  When you see a really good listing or personal vacation rental website it conveys a message of professionalism and trustworthiness.  Not all, but most vacationers are looking for quality and only you can present the image of quality.
